Privacy policy
Fortuna Zodiacal Releasing is designed to keep astrology calculations and optional saved profiles in the visitor's browser.
Information entered into the calculator
The app processes the birth date, birth time, UTC offset, place query, selected place label, latitude, longitude, zodiac choice, Lot choice, reference moment, and optional profile name entered by the visitor. These details are used to calculate and display the Zodiacal Releasing timeline in the browser.
Licence verification and payment
Purchases are handled by Payhip and its payment providers. Fortuna Lectiones does not receive full payment-card details. When a visitor activates the website, the submitted licence key is sent to a Netlify Function and then to Payhip's licence verification service. The function receives the licence status and creates a signed access cookie when the key is valid. Birth-chart details are not included in the licence request.
The access cookie is HttpOnly and is used only to protect the paid calculator. It expires after the configured access period and can be removed by selecting Lock this browser or clearing site data.
Birthplace search
When the visitor performs a birthplace search, the typed place is sent to a Netlify Function, which forwards it to the Nominatim service using OpenStreetMap data. No GPS or device-location permission is requested. Recent search results may be cached in browser storage to reduce repeat requests.
Local storage
Saved profiles, theme choice, onboarding state, and location-search cache may be stored locally in the browser. They are not uploaded to a Fortuna Lectiones database. Visitors can remove them through the app's Clear controls or browser site-data settings.
Analytics, advertising, and sharing
The supplied website does not include advertising SDKs or analytics SDKs and does not sell personal information. CSV export, printing, clipboard copying, and sharing occur only when the visitor chooses those actions.
Service infrastructure
Netlify hosts the website and serverless functions and may process technical request information required to deliver and secure the service. Payhip processes purchase and licence information under its own privacy terms. Nominatim processes the place-search text submitted by the visitor.
Children and intended use
The app is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children. Astrology content is for entertainment, reflection, study, and journaling and is not medical, legal, financial, psychological, safety, or emergency advice.
